Winter Experience in Nikko

Winter experience in Nikko
During winter, many people just sit at their houses, be sad and blue. Well it’s best to try to go out and have fun no matter how cold the weather is. The best thing to do during winter is to try skiing, skating or go to places with thick snow like Nikko, Niigata and Mt. Fuji. The closest of these places is Nikko, around 2 hours and half to travel by train and 3 hours by car. It will cost you ¥4,400 one day pass (avail in Tokyo Station) to get to Nikko. The travel is quite exhausting but who cares, the fun and experiences are worth it anyway.

I am from a country with no snow though there’s some cold places in my country too. I am quite hungry to see tons and tons of snow; get merry and wanting to experience how it is to be surrounding by big blocks of snow or ice. Indeed, the experiences I had in Nikko paid off. The river that was frozen was the skating ground. Of course you have to rent your gears for affordable prices and skate as long as you or until you had enough. There are cable wires to rent to that could transport you from the highlands skiing downwards but you have to be careful of the other people too, the skiing ground is quite crowded. Or you could slide using a rented slider gadget. You can slide like children too especially if you’re not as adventurous to try for skiing since it is really hard to control the ski or the skates.

There are several possibilities that you can bump other people and might hurt them physically. Don’t be afraid about that, everyone understood that all of the people present are just trying to enjoy the winter in the wonderful place.

On your way home, you could shop for some souvenirs available in the stores there. Souvenirs can be bought in reasonable prices depending on the goods you wanna buy.
